Registration and driving instruction assignments are handled on a first-come, first-served basis, determined by when the student’s application and deposit are received.
This comprehensive course fulfills the state requirements for driver’s education, providing:

• 10 hours of driving
• 6 hours of observation

The theory portion of the program is held in-person on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, with the final week of classes meeting Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at the same time. Students must also be available for driving instruction on those days during either the 3:00–5:00 PM or 5:00–7:00 PM time slots.

During the theory portion, students will learn about the highway system, signs, signals, pavement markings, space management, the effects of drugs and alcohol on driving, and much more.
Driving Instruction
In addition to the classroom sessions, students are required to attend two driving sessions per week. Drive times are selected prior to the start of the program and are designed to match each student’s skill level, helping them gain the most from their experience. Details about drive times will be included in your confirmation email.

We also require that students complete at least 5 hours of driving practice with a parent before starting the program. This not only promotes safety for everyone involved but also ensures that students are ready to make the most of their time with us.
Application Requirements

• A copy of the student’s birth certificate (for proof of age)
Incomplete applications may result in the loss of your reserved seat and deposit, so please double-check everything before submission.

There is no need to pre register for The First Offence Driver Improvement Program. You can attend the class on a walk-in basis. However, if you would like to pre register please click on the date you would like above under services.

The cost of the driver improvement program is $50.00 and is due at 8am at the start of the course. A & J Driving School accepts cash, check, money order, debit and credit cards.

When a course is available you will be able to register by clicking on the “book” button. Fill out the required information then make the required deposit. After the deposit is complete you must email over the application. Once this is completed, you will receive a confirmation email. All applications are based on a first come first serve basis. The minimum age requirement to enroll in A & J Driving School LLC is 15 years and 9 months old. Students must be this age by the first day of the program.
Our driving school uses newer model, well-maintained vehicles that are equipped with dual brakes and mirrors for your safety.
No, you do not need to have a learner's permit before enrolling in driving lessons with A & J Driving School. Please see State rules for non licensed drivers practicing in NH
students can start practicing with a licensed responsible adult over the age of 25 at the age of 15 1/2 in New Hampshire. Students are required to carry Proof of age while practicing driving.
When a private lesson is available you will be able to click on the "book" button. If there is no button available and it states "new services soon" we currently have no lessons available. Lessons are updated weekly. Cost will be listed when scheduling. Private lessons will be available again in February of 2024.
In addition to driver education , Students under 18 years of age are required to obtain 40 hours of supervised parental driving with a parent, guardian, or licensed adult driver over the age of 25. Out of those 40 hours a minimum of 10 hours must be completed a half hour after sunset until a half hour before sunrise. Students will document these 40 hours using the additional supervised driving log, provided in the link below.
-Get your child an eye exam! Having proper vision is very important when driving. Students must be able to read 20/40 with vision in both their eyes or 20/30 if they are blind in one eye. Students will be required to complete an eye exam with us prior to driving. If they do not pass, they will be unable to drive until their vision is corrected. This could result in program removal.
- Practice! Students are expected to have at least 5 hours of on the road practice with a licensed driver over the age of 25 prior to the program.
This will help students get the most out of the program. Please keep in mind that it is not a guarantee that all students will pass the program. Students must practice outside of class.
